Scan a public address

Enter the address of your website. We open your site in a real Chromium browser, walk up to 10 pages and email you the report. This takes 60 to 90 seconds.

What the scan checks

We start at the address you give us, read your sitemap if there is one and follow internal links up to 10 pages. On every page we run axe-core 4.11, Deque's rule set for WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 level AA.

  • Names and roles a screen reader goes on, and references that point at nothing.
  • Colour contrast of text on a flat background, against 4.5:1 and 3:1.
  • Keyboard navigation: positive tabindex values, focus that is nowhere to be seen.
  • Accessibility overlays from AccessiBe, UserWay, EqualWeb, AudioEye and MaxAccess.
  • A score from 0 to 100, weighted by impact: 5 critical errors weigh heavier than 50 small ones.

What the scan does not see

Whether an alt text describes the image, whether an error message explains what to do, whether a form is workable when you cannot see the screen: that takes a person. If your text sits on a photo or a gradient, measure the contrast yourself with the Radar.

Behind a login or while you build

The scan needs a public address. If you are working on a page behind a login, on a staging site or on localhost, use WCAG Radar in your own browser instead.

Where your data stays

The scan runs on our own server in Helsinki, at Hetzner. We set no tracking cookies and never sell data. We keep the result for 7 days so you can open the report at your own link, and after that it is gone.
